Overview

Self-hosted Metabase instance with 22 dashboards covering sellout velocity, territory performance, and returns analysis — replacing monthly Excel decks with live answers accessible to all 60 territory reps.

The challenge

The sales director produced a monthly 120-slide PowerPoint by manually merging data from four ERP exports. Territory managers disputed commissions monthly because there was no single source of truth. The process consumed three full working days each month and the data was always 30 days stale.


The solution

Our approach

We used Airbyte to sync four ERP source tables into a centralised PostgreSQL warehouse, then modelled the data with dbt to produce clean sellout, territory, and returns marts. Metabase's embedding feature let us publish territory-specific dashboards directly into the sales team's existing intranet portal with row-level security per rep. We adapted Metabase's open-source question library for Saudi VAT-inclusive margin calculations.
