Overview

Arabic-first learning management system with Strapi headless CMS for curriculum authoring, Supabase for real-time progress tracking, and a parent mobile portal showing daily lesson completion and HRDF-compliant attendance logs.

The challenge

Curriculum coordinators authored lessons in Word, emailed them to teachers, and tracked completion in paper registers. Parents had no visibility and the school couldn't prove attendance to HRDF for subsidy claims.

The solution

Our approach

We deployed Strapi as the curriculum CMS so editors publish lesson content with rich media directly from a browser. Supabase Realtime pushes per-student lesson-completion events to the teacher dashboard and the parent Expo app simultaneously. A nightly pdfkit job compiles HRDF-format attendance reports and emails them to the compliance coordinator — zero manual export needed. The open-source Strapi and Supabase stack cut licensing costs versus a commercial LMS by over 80 %.
