Overview

Progressive-web guest app built on Supabase Realtime: mobile check-in/check-out, in-room service requests, F&B ordering, and a Cal.com-powered spa and activity booking module. Guests skip the front desk entirely; revenue-per-available-room up 18 % through ancillary upsells.

The challenge

Guests queued at the front desk for up to 12 minutes at peak check-in periods. The spa and activity desk used a paper booking log, causing double-bookings and missed upsell opportunities. Staff had no real-time view of outstanding in-room service requests.

The solution

Our approach

We built a PWA that sends a check-in link to each guest's WhatsApp 2 hours before arrival; they complete ID verification and digital signature on their own device and their room key is activated automatically via Supabase Edge Functions. Cal.com self-hosted powers the spa and activity schedule — its open API lets us embed the booking calendar inside the guest PWA with full brand theming. Supabase Realtime channels broadcast in-room service requests to a housekeeping tablet dashboard. Stripe handles in-app F&B charges settled at checkout.

Outcomes

RevPAR increased 18 % through in-app spa and dining upsells

Ancillary revenue up AED 28 per room-night on average

Client testimonial

“Our guests now check in on the way from the airport. The Cal.com spa integration alone paid for the project — we sell three times as many spa slots as before.”

Dhow Operations Hub

Self-hosted NocoDB replaced three sprawling Google Sheets workbooks managing 900+ vessel calls per month for a Jeddah port-handling firm. Role-based views let operations, finance, and customs teams each see only their columns; an automation webhook triggers WhatsApp alerts when a vessel ETA changes.
