The challenge
Operations managers pulled separate reports from three systems — the TMS, the fuel-card provider, and Google Sheets vehicle logs — every morning. The two-hour daily ritual meant decisions were based on yesterday's stale data.
The solution
We built a Supabase data warehouse with scheduled n8n ingest jobs that pull from the TMS API, fuel-card CSV exports, and the GPS tracker feed every 15 minutes. Metabase — deployed self-hosted for cost control — consumes the warehouse and provides the ops team with a live fleet map, cost-per-drop trend charts, and an anomaly-flagging dashboard. Metabase's built-in email schedule replaces the morning manual report entirely.
