Internal operations console built on Appsmith connected to a Supabase backend: loan-officer dashboards showing Murabaha portfolio health, Zakat-eligibility flags, and CBB compliance checklist. Replaced a patchwork of Excel sheets used across eight branches.
The challenge
Loan officers in eight branches each maintained their own Excel tracker for Murabaha contracts, Zakat flags, and CBB monthly returns. Consolidation at month-end took four days and produced frequent mis-classifications.
The solution
We used Appsmith's open-source low-code platform to build role-scoped dashboards for loan officers, branch managers, and the compliance team, all reading from a single Supabase Postgres instance protected with Row-Level Security. An n8n scheduled job pulls CBB format templates nightly and pre-populates the monthly return spreadsheet. Appsmith's built-in REST and database connectors made it possible to wire 14 data sources without custom backend code.
