Overview

Self-hosted Medusa v2 storefront replacing a WhatsApp-only sales flow: bilingual product catalogue, Hijri seasonal campaigns, bulk corporate-gift checkout, and same-day Al Ain delivery slots. Order processing time drops from 18 minutes to under 60 seconds.

The challenge

The farm-to-consumer brand was processing every order manually via WhatsApp voice notes, leading to missed orders, wrong quantities, and no visibility into inventory levels. Corporate clients placing bulk Ramadan gift orders would wait up to three days for a price confirmation. The owners needed a proper storefront without the subscription cost of a hosted SaaS platform.


The solution

Our approach

We self-hosted Medusa v2 on a DigitalOcean droplet, adapting its product and order modules to support Hijri-dated seasonal promotions and a custom bulk-gift configurator. The Next.js 15 storefront was built Arabic-first with RTL Tailwind, and a Stripe webhook pipeline auto-generates WhatsApp order-confirmation messages so the brand's existing customer communication loop stays intact.
